John 17:17

“Make them ready for Your service through Your truth; Your teaching is truth.”
John 17:17 (NCV)

Good Morning My Father,
Thank you for the sunrise this morning. I praise You for the wonderful sunset last night and for pausing me long enough to see it. Your creation is so beautiful to gaze on, if only I will stop when I hear You call.

Father, You are preparing me to serve You. Sometimes I think I’m such a slow learner, but, Your patience and love carry me through. I need You today to help me learn Your truth, to memorize and meditate on Your truth, but most of all, to live Your truth in my life.

Help me to understand that this is a lifetime of learning and that there is joy in just being with You. Lead me on the path that You have chosen for me and let me shine Your love!
Amen

James 2:24

So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.
James 2:24

Good Morning Jesus,
It was kind of a short night, LORD, but I still feel renewed and ready to face the day. What I love so much about You, is that the number of hours I rest at night doesn’t make any difference. You make the difference and prepare me to face the day. I am so blessed to be able to face it with You!

Jesus, I know I have faith, I know that You exist and You are present in my life. However, You also ask me to live my faith and that is not always so easy. There are times I know exactly what You are asking, then there are times I just can’t make it out. Sometimes I want You to write my directions out in black and white, but what good would faith be then?

I know though that if I wait on You, You are always faithful to show the way, I just don’t want to miss Your direction, Jesus. I love living for and with You, You are my purpose in this life. Help me today to step out in faith to please You.
Amen

Isaiah 41:10

Don’t be afraid, for I AM with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I AM your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand
Isaiah 41:10

Good Morning Yahweh,
Do You know just how much I look forward to this time with You? You are the very air I need to live. You fill my spirit with wisdom and knowledge. You give me purpose and encourage me to step out when I would like to step back. You are so amazing and I love You so very much.

You know, Father, there are times I’m afraid to move forward, even with You. I’m so unsure of myself, questioning Your call. So I will just sit and do nothing.

Then there are times I’m very discourage. I feel like I’ve really messed up, so much so that You might not want to work with me anymore. When I can’t seem to do the little things, how can I expect to get to the more challenging things in my life right?

Again this morning Your Word speaks to my soul. You remind me that You are always with me. I don’t need to be afraid or discourage. All I need to do at these times is take Your hand, for You alone are my God and will strengthen me and provide the help when I ask.

Your right hand gives victory, because Your Son, Jesus Christ, sits there. You have given me Your Son, I know He will take care of me, always.

Thank You for taking my burdens this morning, Yahweh, my mighty and wonderful LORD!
Amen

Colossians 1:9

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
Colossians 1:9

Good Morning My Jesus!
How can I proclaim Your greatness to the world? How can my mere words describe how I feel about You? I am so grateful that You know my heart and can see into my soul and know just how madly in love I am with You!

I thank You, Jesus, for those You have place around me to encourage and pray for me. They are so special and I ask today that You will bless them with Your presence.

You also say in Your Word that You will give me an understanding of Your will. There are times, LORD, that I still struggle with what I am supposed to do with my life. I think I may be on the right path, but then I’m not sure. I need Your wisdom and knowledge in the many choices I make each day. I also know that there are times You want me to search for how I can work with You, and each time I step out in something new, I know You will be with me. I ask for the knowledge to know my purpose at this stage of my life.

While I wait for Your wisdom, Jesus, I will continue to study Your Word, love others with Your love and desire each day to glorify You in all I do!
Amen

1 Thessalonians 3:12

And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.
1 Thessalonians 3:12

Good Morning Jesus,
What a delight and wonder to be here with You this morning. You help me wake up, You prepare me for the day to come, but most of all, You love me as I am.

I know that before You came to be the King of my soul, I was selfish, more selfish than I still am. You have shown me how to love and serve others, You have shown me how to be Your servant.

What I am most amazed about, Jesus, is how You have poured Your love into me so I can love others with Your love. Those people who I thought I could never even like, I’ve learned to love them! You are amazing.

Yet, I know Jesus, that for me to continue loving them, I need to be continually with You. I need the river of Your love flowing into me so I don’t become stagnate.

I want to overflow with Your love for all the people that I meet today. I want them to know You personally. You are my Love!
Amen

Proverbs 4:23

Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life.
Proverbs 4:23 NCV

Good Morning Father,
Thank You so much for the rest You blessed me with last night. I was so tired and You helped me to release all my burdens, anxiety, and fears. You protected my mind so I could sleep and woke me with Your presence. You are so wonderful!

Father, today I want to think on You throughout the day. I know I’ll be busy and my mind will get side tracked, but help me to always come back and let You know how I’m doing.

You tell me to watch out and be careful what I think about, it will shape my life. When thoughts invade my mind that would not glorify You, help me to speak Your Word, to clear my thoughts and remember You are in my presence.

I thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness to my soul. I want my life to glorify You and I know it starts with my thoughts.
Amen

Genesis 35:2-4

So Jacob told everyone in his household, “Get rid of all your pagan idols, purify yourselves, and put on clean clothing. We are now going to Bethel, where I will build an altar to the God who answered my prayers when I was in distress. He has been with me wherever I have gone.” So they gave Jacob all their pagan idols and earrings, and he buried them under the great tree near Shechem.
Genesis 35:2-4

 Good Morning Yahweh,
You are so wonderful, my words could never, ever give You the right praise. I am so limited to tell You how much You mean to me. I praise You for searching my heart and knowing what my mouth cannot say. I praise You for being my everything!

When am I going to learn, Father? I am no different than Jacob and his family was so many years ago. You command me to worship You and You alone. You tell me again and again not to collect idols. Yet, here I am again, knowing that I have placed ‘things’ in my life above You. I don’t mean for them to become idols, I may even think that You have blessed me with these ‘things’ to further Your Kingdom. Please forgive me Father, help me to bury my attitude toward them as Jacob buried the actual idols. And, the ‘things’ that I shouldn’t have in my life at all, please show me, so I can get rid of them.

You are so wonderful to teach me how I should live. You are so patient with my slow learning. It is my heart’s desire to please You and worship You and You alone!
Amen

Luke 2:8-10

That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.
Luke 2:8-10

Good Morning Father!
What a glorious morning to be with You! The air is clean and fresh, the day holds new promises and I am with You. It is such an adventure to be Your child!

Your Word this morning is so great to think on.

To think that You told shepherds in the fields about Your Son, is so great. He would become the Shepherd for many, taking care of us so well.

When Your angels appear in Your Word, they are always so careful to say ‘don’t be afraid’. It must have been such a bright sight to see them in the dark sky. The shepherds must have really wondered about what was happening.

What I love the most about them, Father, is the fact that they believed, period. They didn’t try to analyze the situation, or try to make an intelligent discovery, they just believed and went to see Your Son.

I want to come to You that way, excited and anticipating the day with You. To let You lead me on exciting discoveries. Then, to sit with You tonight and talk about the day. Thank You for Your shepherds. Thank You, for my Shepherd.
Amen

2 Timothy 1:12

That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the One in whom I trust, and I am sure that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until the day of His return.
2 Timothy 1:12

Good Morning My Faithful Jesus,
I love You so very much. You are the one true God and I am so blessed to be call Yours.

You know yesterday was a tough day for me. I was attacked by the enemy and I was so unprepared for the onslaught. He also hit me at one of my most vulnerable points, my family.

In my panic I cried out to You and You heard me. Spirit, when I couldn’t remember todays scripture, You knew what I needed and brought my thoughts back under Your protection. Please forgive me for not being better prepared, forgive me for my lack of trust in You.

Yet, through all my confusion and fear, You my Jesus, have placed those people around me who came along side and prayed for me. What a blessing my friends are and I praise You for their faith in You!

It was a battle, LORD, but it was one that You have already defeated. All I had to do was move back into Your protective arms and know that You are able to guard what I have entrusted to You, my loved ones.

Thank You, Jesus, for being with me in the panic of my spirit and being my fortress of grace and peace.
I love You so very much, my Abba.
Amen

Psalm 139:23

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Psalm 139:23

Good Morning Father,
I’m here this morning in my body, but my heart doesn’t seem to be with me. Please forgive me. I see Your grand creation before me, I know Your presence is with me, but I feel so disconnected today.

There is something, LORD, that seems to be bothering me and I can’t put my finger on it.

Have I sinned? Did I say something that I shouldn’t have? Have I wandered from You?

Please hear my prayer this morning, search my heart and mind and show me what’s going on within me. I’m restless and oh, so unsure of myself, I need Your peace. Please show me what I need to correct, what I need to do, and I will do it.

I praise You my, LORD, for being my God and Savior. I praise You for Your desire to pour Your forgiveness into my life. I love You because You want me close to You.

Thank You for letting me unload on You this morning, Abba. Thank You for bringing my sin to light. Give me Your strength and courage now, to overcome and take the victory You have already won!
I love You so very much!
Amen
