Psalm 95:1-2

Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to Him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to Him.
Psalm 95:1 & 2

Morning Jesus,
Thank You so much for the rest You blessed me with last night. You are so faithful to calm my heart and mind. When I focus on You as I fall asleep, my sleep is restful and refreshing. You take such good care of me and I love You!

I want to worship You in my heart and soul all day long today, Jesus. I want to think on how You are my salvation, what You went through so I can be with You. I want to tell You often how thankful I am for all You do. I want to sing my love with my voice and actions.

I haven’t been very good at being with You lately, Jesus, please forgive me and remind me how wonderful it is to be in Your presence. I always think I will get with You in a moment, and then the moment passes and I get busy and forget. How can I forget You? You are the Creator of the Universe, my precious love.

Jesus, I want to be more faithful to You. I want to get into the routine of being with You each morning. I ask You, Spirit, to be my guide and nudge. When I hear You say come, I want to come. My desire in the coming days is to sing for You, to sing to You and just be in Your presence.
Amen

John 17:20

I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in Me through their message.
John 17:20

Good Morning Jesus!
Oh my goodness, it is divine to be with You this morning! To think that I can spend time with the Creator of all things. To sit and chit chat with You. To learn from You. How blessed I am to be claimed as Your child.

Jesus, I read this morning that You pray for me. I have never really thought about that. You are talking to Your Father, my Father, asking Him to help me, to give me the right words, to live for Your glory. How humbled and honored I am, Jesus, that You would care so much for me.

You have been praying for all Your children down through the centuries. You have been sustaining us to keep up the good work that You began. You are encouraging me to give Your message to those I meet today. And, You will be praying for those yet to come. Your passion for Your children is so faithful and true. How I love You!

So today, Jesus, I ask that my words be Your Words. That I will pass Your message and shine Your love to a world that needs You. You are my King!
Amen

Matthew 11:28

Then Jesus said, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

Good Morning Jesus,
Thank You for the extra rest You bless me with last night. You know exactly what I need and provide so generously. You know me better than I know myself!

There are times, Jesus, that I do try and carry more than I should. I feel what I do is important and I should be doing it, but then I take on one more activity. Before I know it, they have all become burdens and the joy is gone.

Then there are the responsibilities that just happen in life. The need to take care of aging parents, raising children, work requirements. It seems like they all mount up at the same time and I feel overwhelmed.

You are such a joy, Jesus. You want to carry all the parts of my life and help me through the tough times. You are always asking me to come to You, even if things are going well. You know what I’m going through. You bless me with the rest that only You can give. You give me the support I need. All I have to do, is come to You.

I know that my circumstances won’t change overnight, but my attitude and heart can. You will lift me above my life chores today. How wonderful You are and I love You so very much!
Amen

Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be My witnesses, telling people about Me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Acts 1:8

Good Morning Jesus,
To be truthful this morning, I really didn’t want to get out of bed. It was so warm and comfortable and I just didn’t feel fully rested. Yet, You were with me and encouraged me to get up and spend this time with You.

You know my heart, Jesus, and you know how I feel about being Your witness. In this world it can be very scary. I’m never sure what to say or what to do. What if someone asks a question I can’t answer? What if they contradict what I say? What if someone thinks I’m strange?

I just realize what I’ve been saying, that what I’m concerned about is me. Please forgive me, LORD. It has never been about me, it’s all about You.

You will give me the words to speak, and the actions to show Your love. You will provide the wisdom for me and help me to answer the questions. Remind me that I will never know it all, and that’s okay. And who cares if someone thinks I’m strange? What matters the most to me is what You think of me.

Thank You, Jesus, for listening to me this morning. I will trust You to guide me to be Your witness. I ask that You will shine through me today.
Amen

Romans 1:2-4

God promised this Good News long ago through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures. The Good News is about His Son. In His earthly life He was born into King David’s family line, and He was shown to be the Son of God when He was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 1:2-4

Good Morning Jesus,
Thank You for the sunrise this morning. Even thought the sky was clear, it was wonderfully soft and peaceful. It’s a promise to me that You will be here today and I can have this privilege to be with You!

Your Word this morning makes my heart sing. It also makes me thankful to be living on this side of the cross. Before You came to earth, people knew You would come someday. They waited their whole lives for You. They looked to the future to see Your glory.

How blessed I am to have You here with me right now. I know the Good News and it’s You! All the prophecies about You came true, being born into the linage of David, being crucified and raised from the dead by the power of the Spirit, everything that was said about You is true.

Now we look to the future again, to see when You will come in all Your glory. Yet, Jesus, I want to remember that You are already here, living in me, proclaiming You are God. I guess I need to remember that the future is now.

So today, remind me often, please, that You want people to know they too can have Your presence in their lives. You desire to be with everyone. Please give me the words and actions to show the people I come in contact with Your love, so they will want to come into Your presence.

And, help me to remember that what was said about You in the past was true, just as what is said for the future, it too, will also be true.
Love You Jesus!
Amen

Psalm 143:10

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May Your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.
Psalm 143:10

Morning Jesus,
You are my God and I love You! How would I get through a day without Your presence? You give me comfort, wisdom and surround me with Your presence. I am blessed to be Your child.
Jesus, I want so badly to do Your will, to do what You have designed me to do. Sometimes it’s hard for me to know which direction to take. I think I may be on the right track, but I still feel so unsure. Maybe that’s what my faith is for, to step out even if I’m not sure.
It is my heart’s desire to please You. I know, Spirit, that You will direct me and keep me on a firm foundation. I know that if I get side tracked, You will lead me back and light the right path.
Forgive me, Jesus, when I hesitate to follow where You lead. Forgive me also when I race ahead. I praise You for keeping me close to Your heart. You are my God and I love You!
Amen

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:10

Good Morning Yahweh,
Your Name is to be honored above all names. You are holy and perfect and my mind can’t conceive why You would want to be with me this morning. I am such a sinful person and so unworthy to be in Your presence. However, I claim Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Savior and I know through Him I can come to You.

Father, You have done absolutely everything for me to live a full life. You provided Your Son for my sins, You have given me Your Spirit to guide and direct me, You have loved me with a love I can’t even begin to comprehend. And, while You were doing all that, You are making me into Your masterpiece! As You mold and shape me, Your fingerprints became my identification. Your Spirit is my very breath. My life becomes worthy to live for You! I don’t always understand You, Abba, but I know Your love and want to share it with others. Give me Your strength to do the good things You planned for me so long ago!
Amen

Psalm 100:2

Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy.
Psalm 100:2

Good Morning My King!
Today is the day that You have made and I will be glad and rejoice in it! You have created this day so I can be with You, sit with You now, and enjoy Your presence. How can I thank You?

I will thank You by worshiping You with all my being today. Please help me to listen to how You want me to worship, not necessarily the way I was raised, or how people around me worship. I want to worship You in a unique and wonderful way. I want to give You the glory You deserve and desire.

When I get to church, Father, help me to have tunnel vision as I focus on You. Please help me to block out distractions and thoughts. Help me to ponder only on Your presence. I want to sit and be still and know that You are my God!
Amen

Luke 12:32

“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.
Luke 12:32

Good Morning Abba,
Thank You for being here with me this morning. Thank You for sitting with me while I have my tea and watch the world wake. It is in these quiet moments I know You are my God and Savior and I praise You for choosing me to be with You.

Your Word this morning, Father, is so completely precious to me. How many times do You remind me not to be afraid? I cannot count them, yet I always need reminding.

When You call me to be part of Your flock, it brings to mind little sheep and how they need constant care. This is how You want to take care of me and yet there are days that I think I know better and turn my back on You. Please forgive me my LORD. I want to follow You and Your perfect path.

I have the greatest gift of all time presented to me by You, acceptance into Your Kingdom. When I think on this, my spirit takes flight with the joy of it all.

Thank You for Your Word this morning, Abba, You are so precious to me and I love You!
Amen

John 3:3

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
John 3:3

Good Morning My Jesus,
It looks like it will be a busy day. I know You have blessed me with Your joy, but I’m not totally feeling it this morning. Give me strength to walk through this day and not be grumpy, short on patience or so tired that at the end of the day, I am no good to You. Guide my day to be in line with Your desire, help me to put away what I think is necessary to get done.

Your Word this morning is a delight to think about. I know people have debated this passage for centuries. How hard it is to understand unless I have Your Spirit. Then it becomes clear.

I can’t understand You unless I ask Your Spirit to be my guide. You are Spirit, and to understand and know You, I have to do that though my spirit. The day You blessed me with Your presence, that was the day I was born again.

Yet, even then, I struggle with understanding some of Your scriptures. But, I will take delight in spending time with You and allowing You to be my Teacher!
I love You!
Amen
