I love the LORD because He hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!

Morning Jesus!
Oh my goodness! What joy You bring to me this morning as You remind me You do hear my prayers! I am so honored and humbled to know You love to hear from me. What a special Companion You are!

I am also reminded that when I don’t get the answer I want, at the right time, or things don’t turn out the way I thought they would, it doesn’t mean You don’t hear.
I’m reminded about how Daniel prayed for 21 days before an angel appeared to talk to him. The angel was delayed, not Your answer!

And, when Your people asked for a Messiah, You waited centuries before You brought Him to this world.

There are so many examples in Your Word, Jesus, that tell me Your timing is not mine. You wait until the perfect moment, and then act. Sometimes I’m in just too much of a hurry.

Help me to remember today that You do hear, You have bent down to hear the whispers of my heart. I will never stop talking to You!

When doubts filled my mind, Your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.
Psalm 94:19

Morning Jesus,
Thank You for the beauty of this morning. The sky is blue and the breeze is blowing. No matter what the weather is outside, You keep me comfortable and at ease with Your presence.

Thank You for being my LORD.

Please forgive me for having so many doubts in my mind. I often wonder if I’m doing Your will, or should I be doing more or less. I often doubt my worthiness to be with You and wonder why You stay with me. And You know I often doubt the abilities You have given me.

Please forgive me, Jesus. In my mind I do know that You have me right where I should be. I need to have the confidence to know You are molding me into the person You desire me to be. Please wash me with Your Spirit and rinse away my doubts this morning.

Just being with You for these moments and letting me unload on You, Jesus, has given me new hope. You have comforted me with Your presence and I feel I can greet the day now with Your eyes and love. You have blessed me once again with Your wonderful wisdom and insights.

I love You, Jesus!

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Good Morning Jesus!
Thank You for waking me with Your presence this morning. Once again You have reminded me that Your mercies are new for this day. Help me please, to see Your presence in and around me. Open my eyes so I will see what You see. Thank You for the beauty of this morning.

You remind me today that I am a light to my world. I am Your light, Your representative to those I live and work with and anyone I will meet today. That’s kind of scary, Jesus. I know I don’t always live up to Your expectations, actually, rarely do I live up to them. Please forgive me when I slip.

Again, I will fall on You, Spirit, to do the shining. I know I’m not good enough, but You are. With You in my life, anything is possible. You live in me to glorify my Creator. It’s not me that I will shine today, but You.

How amazing You are, the great I AM!

Good Morning Father,
Thank You so much for the night’s rest. Thank You for greeting me with Your presence and love. Without You, my life would be so useless.

Father, please search my heart for anything that is unworthy of You. I don’t want to have a wicked heart, but I know my motives are not always thinking of Your glory. Please forgive me. Show me where I need to think differently, so I can please You.

Help me to remember also, that I am just that clay pot Your Word is talking about this  morning. No matter what I may look like on the outside, it’s the inside that You see. And this clay pot comes with cracks and holes that only You can repair.

I am so thankful that You are my God and Savior. You give me correction when I need it and encouragement to go on. My very being depends on You!

Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for He is our God. We are the people He watches over, the flock under His care. If only you would listen to His voice today!

Good Morning My Sweet Savior!
You are my mighty and worthy LORD and I love You! You and You alone deserve my worship and praise. I want to sing Your splendid works to everyone I meet.

I will worship You today, Jesus, for the glory of Your presence in my life. You are my Shepherd and I am Your sheep. How wonderful it is to be in Your flock, knowing Your mighty presence watches over me.

As I raise my hands to worship You today, fine tune my ears that I may hear Your voice. Open my heart so I will respond to what You are calling me to. Strengthen my feet as I take that first step in faith in response to Your love.
You are my God and I want to please You more than anything else in this world!

Good Morning Christ,
How are You this morning? What a delight to be with You now.

You amaze me, Jesus. You consider me trustworthy. You have deposited Your Word into my life for safe keeping. How special You make me feel.

I know You have much more to teach me, Jesus, I’m just in the beginning of learning. How exciting it is to be in school with You! You are molding me into the person You designed me to be from the very beginning. I bow before You, the King of the Universe, and praise You for all You have done, so I can be here with You now. How I love You, Jesus. Help me guard Your truth, not to horde, but to have an accurate accounting to share with someone today.

Thank You for counting me worthy.

You led our ancestors by a pillar of cloud during the day and a pillar of fire at night so that they could find their way.
Nehemiah 9:12

Good Morning LORD,
What a wonderful way to start the day. When I am with You I will be able to face anything. When I am scared, LORD, please be my courage, when I am tired, please be my strength, but over all the all the day, please be the love that I show to everyone I meet.

It must have been wonderful to be Your child during the exodus, LORD. To visibly see You leading at night with the pillar of fire and the cloud during the day, that would have been amazing. Such security to know that You were near.

But, I’m also reminded that they didn’t have the blessing of Your Spirit to guide them, as I do. Spirit, You are so committed to being with me that You moved right in. I have the opportunity for You to guide me during the day and keep me safe at night. Through You, Spirit, I can sit and learn from Your great wisdom and love.

I may not have the pillar of fire or the cloud to guide me, but all the better to have You live within me! You are my joy and love.

Good Morning Jesus,
Do You realize who much I look forward to being with You in the mornings? It has become so precious to me, because You are here, ready to listen, excited to teach and love me into Your presence.

Yet, even knowing all this, there are times I feel left out, out of sync and disconnected. I’m not sure what’s happening when I feel this way. I don’t know if I’ve moved away from You, or if I’m just tired and don’t realize it. I do know I don’t like feeling this way.

Thank you so very much for Your Word this morning, Jesus. You once again know what I need to hear, that You care for me and I’m valuable to You. My heart soars with that knowledge. I want to shout for joy and proclaim Your love to the world!

I also realize that when I feel disconnected, that’s exactly what it is, my feelings. I know they are not always accurate and I need to trust in Your Word more than myself. Help me please to take my eyes off me and lift them to Your glory and love.

Thank You this morning, LORD, for giving me a reason to keep on going. You are my wonderful Jesus and I love You!

Good Morning Jesus,
Thank You for the wonder of this morning and all You have revealed. If I just open my eyes to Your creation, You show and tell me things I never realized. You are so wonderful!

You know, Jesus, I have many questions that will be answered by You someday, at Your perfect time. But I realized this morning that Your Word is also revealing and answering questions for me right now. I always stand in awe at how You work.

You know I’ve always wondered why You created certain creatures. I can see the process of nature with many of those animals. I can understand why they exist. Yet, with a few, it just hasn’t been easy to understand the whys, like a skunk. I know they are cute, but they smell. I’ve always wondered why…

This morning Your word tells me why, they exist because they please You! Thank You, I can take this understanding and be content. They please You and if they do nothing else in the world, that is enough.

But, Your Word also brings to my mind another question. Do I please You, LORD? I want to with all my heart. Help me today to stop before I say or do something and consider if it will please You. I love You so much!

Good Morning Abba,
I cannot believe how fast the time seems to be going. Yet, when I sit with You in the mornings, the time is slower and I stop to see things better. You have blessed me with this time and I will praise Your name all through the day. Time has no definition for You, Your time is eternity. I need Your help, Father, to slow down and enjoy the life You have created for me.

There does seem to be so much yuck in this world Abba. It’s all over the T.V., in the news, my everyday life. It surrounds me like a lake and even I’m not immune. It seeps into my pores and before I know it, I don’t even recognize it as evil.

You are my island that surrounds me. You lift me up, above all the evil and filth of this world, and ask me to live Your Word.

I can’t do this on my own, Abba. So I will also thank You for Your Spirit, Your very essence, that You have planted in my soul. For it is only with Your guiding strength will I be able to rebuke the evil that is in and around me. It is only with Your victory that I will succeed. It is only Your love that makes it all worthwhile.

I will trust You today, Abba, to show me where to walk so I will glorify You!
