Proverbs 19:23

Fear of the Lord leads to life, bringing security and protection from harm.
Proverbs 19:23

Good Morning Abba,
Thank you for waking me in time to watch the sunrise this morning with You. It’s chilly outside but there is a warmth in my heart as I sit with You. You are my purpose for living and I praise You for claiming me as Your child.

I am sometimes saddened by my English language, Father, as it limits the understanding of Your Word. Am I really supposed to be afraid of You? Am I supposed to cower in Your presence.

As I think on this word ‘fear,’ to me it means to really understand that You are God and You have the power to create and destroy. To acknowledge that You are God and to begin to grasp hold of how great You are. When I begin to have the knowledge that You are my giver of live, then I will truly have my life!

I never want to take You for granted, my LORD, I always want to respect and revere You. You are my God and I want to honor You with my life. I thank You for giving me the knowledge and understanding of this part of Your character, that You are my security and protection.  No one can snatch me from Your hand!
Amen

1 Chronicles 28:9

“And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve Him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek Him, you will find Him. But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
1 Chronicles 28:9

Morning LORD!
Oh my goodness, Father, Your Word this morning is wonderful! You are my encourager, for me to know You intimately. You are right there for me, unfortunately I am not always ready to listen. You always welcoming me back from my wanderings.

I am so honored that You have chosen me to work with You. I thank You for Your Words of encouragement, to keep me on Your path and for the courage I will need to glorify You in this world.

To realize it is Your heart’s desire to have an intimate relationship with me, makes my soul soar with joy and wonder.

I want to seek You at every turn of my day, to look for You in every person I meet, to greet You in my heart. You are so amazingly awesome and I love You so much!
Amen

Luke 8:18

“So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”
Luke 8:18

Good Morning Jesus!
What a wonderful day to wake up with You. Even before I left my bed, You were greeting me. My thoughts turn to You and I know peace.

Your Word this morning makes me think, Jesus. I know that pleases You, as You want me to dig deeper into Your Word and really think on what You are saying. It’s Your desire to have my thoughts and heart be centered on You. I praise You for working in me to give me the desire to do just that.

I want to pay attention today, Jesus, to what I hear, what You are saying and then apply it to my life. I want to really hear Your Words, not through what I’ve been taught, not through what others say, but to hear You, to think on my own and ponder on the truth of Your wisdom. Please give me Your wisdom and understanding into Your Scriptures.
I just love You so very much Jesus!
Amen

Psalm 136:1

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
Psalm 136:1

Morning My Love,
Thank You, Jesus, for the beauty of this morning. I am always in awe of Your creation. The beautiful morning sky, the sun waking me with it’s light and Your presence in my heart, what more could I need?

Your goodness is around every corner of my day. When I stop to look, I see Your many blessings in my life. When I stop to smell my roses, I am so blessed by it’s delicate beauty.

And You choose to be faithful to me, an unfaithful person. You choose to give me Your love, unconditionally. How truly amazing You are.

Today, my Jesus, I will give thanks to You always. I will take pleasure in knowing that You are always with me. My hearts beats with joy knowing I am Yours!
Amen

Psalm 62:5

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him.
Psalm 62:5

Good Morning My Father,
I love being with You in the morning. To sit in the quiet a few moments before the rush of the day starts is so refreshing. You are my peace and hope.

It seems like I do most of the talking when I’m with You, Father. I appreciate how You listen to my troubles and let me dream big dreams. You are so patient with me.

This morning I want to spend some extra time in Your Word. I want to hear from You and learn a new lesson for the day. Please show me a verse I can memorize and meditate on, so it can become a part of my life.

I will wait and be still this morning before You. I know my hope is safe in You!
Amen

Proverbs 17:22

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.
Proverbs 17:22

Good Morning Jesus,
I love You so very much. You are always the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. You are so steadfast and faithful and I am so glad I can come to You.

I seem to be a grumpy goo this morning, LORD. I know I’m not always up and cheerful, but this is just not going to be a good day. All I can seem to see is the negative, it doesn’t look like there can be a silver lining to any of the clouds.

Please forgive me for my attitude this morning. Let me sit with You and be washed in Your presence. Please give me Your vision for the day and take joy in that. Remind me to look for You today, I know I will find You even with my frame of mind.

However, Jesus, I want more than that, I want to have a cheerful heart, even in spite of my circumstances. I want to be good medicine to those I meet today. I can only do that through Your Spirit and love.

How wonderful You are to let me unload on Your shoulders this morning. After telling You how I was feeling, my joy for the day returns. Whatever will come, I know You are right here with me, pouring Your good medicine into my soul!
I love You!
Amen

Mark 1:35

And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He departed and went out to a desolate place, and there He prayed.
Mark 1:35

Good Morning Jesus!
You usually don’t see me here this early in the morning. It’s still dark and quiet and peaceful. Thank you for waking me so I can watch the sun rise with You. The colors You display in the early morning, show me how wonderful it will be to live with You in heaven. I praise You for all that You have provided for me to live this life to it’s fullest. I love You for gifting me with Your Spirit.

It’s probably going to be a busy day, Jesus. It seems like they usually are. But for the moment I want to just enjoy Your presence. I know You will help me prioritize the day and sort through the challenges that will arise. I know You will remind me often that You are only a thought away and excited to help me.

Jesus, I thank and praise You for Your example to show me just how important prayer is. It’s one of the ways I can get to know You. When You were on earth, You cherished these times with Your Father, help me to hold them just as close to my heart, as You do. Help me to wake each morning, anticipating spending some time with You before my day begins.

I love You so very much, Jesus, because one thing I know, You will never forsake me or leave me. Your faithfulness is beyond words.
Amen

Nahum 1:7

The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in Him.
Nahum 1:7

Good Morning Jesus,
How delightful to be with You this morning. The later sunrise lets me be awake and watch it with You. The cooler weather is wonderful for me and I just love the fall of Your creation. It always feels like it’s time to snuggle in and let Your love warm my soul.

You are so extremely good to me. As I was reading in Your Word the other day, I was reminded that You not only died for me, You died instead of me. I worship You in awe to realize just how much You love me.

I know, Jesus, that You are always with me, when I get in trouble You are always right there. But, I just don’t want to come to You when I’m in trouble, I want to be with You in the good times, also. Please help me to focus on You daily and talk to You always, in the good times and bad. I want to be so close to You I can hear Your heartbeat. I want to know You in my soul. What is so powerful is to know that You want to be close to me and those around me. How special You are. I love You, Jesus!
Amen

Psalm 51:12

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and make me willing to obey You.
Psalm 51:12

Good Morning Jesus!
Thank You for the rest last night. Thank You for waking me to Your presence this morning. Life is so much more exciting when I come to You and acknowledge You as my LORD.  I thank You for giving me the wisdom to know You and Your wondrous ways.

There are days, Jesus, that I forget that You are my salvation. I forget what You did and went through so I can spend this time with You. Wash me with Your Spirit now and restore the excitement and joy I had when we first met. I was so willing to let You show me so much and sit at Your feet to learn Your ways.

Jesus, it is my heart’s desire to walk closely with You. To sit on Your lap and listen to Your voice, I long for that today. When You ask me to do something, I want to stop and obey. I want to know the pleasure of being in Your Spirit!
Amen

Mark 16:15

And then He told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Mark 16:15

Good Morning Jesus!
What a wonderful morning it is! I don’t seem to care this morning what the weather is or how busy I may become, all that matters right now is that I am with You!

You know what my day will hold, what I really need to get done and what I think I needs to get done. What I desperately need from You today, Jesus, is to know what is important. I need to see past myself and into the lives of those I will meet. Help me to slow down and look into their eyes, as You would do, and truly love them with Your love.

Your Word this morning tells me I am to go into the world and preach Your Good News. That is kind of scary to me, Jesus. I would rather leave that to my pastor. But You are telling me to do it, and I can do it through my actions. Give me strength to step out in faith to provide for someone’s needs. Give me courage to take that first step.

You are so precious to me, LORD, I want to share You with someone today!
Amen
