Luke 6:27-28

“But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you.  Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
Luke 6:27-28

Good Morning My Jesus!
How wonderful it is to sit with You a few moments this morning. Life seems to be going so fast and right now there seems little time to breathe. I cherish these times when I can be in Your presence and know Your peace and love.

When I was reading Your Word this morning LORD, this one jumped off the page at me.  How many times have I read it? How many times have I tried to love my enemies? And I do try to love and pray for them. However, this morning what caught my eye was, ‘but to you who are willing to listen’.

How willing am I to listen to You? Not necessarily by a verbal voice, but by Your Words, the thoughts You place in my mind, Your comments to me by others. It makes me stop and think and wonder, am I willing to hear You? Or do I just hear what I want and let the rest fall away?

I’m not sure Jesus, so today I will be very conscience and aware to listen for You. I will look for You in the scriptures I read, listen for You in what others are saying and take quiet moments to think on what You have said.

I love you so very much Jesus. I thank You for being my Savior!
Amen

Matthew 16:16

Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:16

Good Morning My Wonderful King!
How wonderful it is to proclaim You as the Messiah! You are the Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Son of the living God, my Friend and Amazing Jesus!

I am so blessed to know You as the Messiah. I am so honored to have a relationship with You, the Creator of the Universe and the Lover of my soul.

Today, I want my life to state “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God,” and I belong to Him. I need Your strength and courage to live in this world for You!

Love you, LORD!
Amen

Psalm 17:8

Guard me as you would guard Your own eyes.
Hide me in the shadow of Your wings.
Psalm 17:8

Good Morning Jesus,
The morning is new and fresh and I am with You. You kept me safe through the night and woke me with the light. I am always in awe with Your care.

This world is full of traps and evil, LORD. The traps are so well concealed and they look so good, I can fall in before I even realize what they are. I need Your discernment to navigate through life. Please help me to see before I step and call on You every moment  for direction.

I love how Your Word describes how I need to be hidden in the shadow of Your wings. Those are words I can visualize. A mother bird draws her young close to her body and spreads her wings to keep them safe and dry.

You also, draw me close to Your body, so I can hear Your heartbeat. You spread Your wings over me, so I am protected, warm and dry. Through the day, Jesus, I want to snuggle in closer and know Your warmth and love.

You are so good to me.
Amen

1 Chronicles 16:8

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatness. Let the whole world know what He has done.
1 Chronicles 16:8

Good Morning Jesus!
How grateful I am that You are my Jesus! You know the depths of my heart and still You love me. Yet, You are not only mine, but You are the same for anyone who believes You are the Messiah. Just amazing!

In this season of thanksgiving, I want to give thanks to You, my LORD. You have provided so much for me, more than I could ever deserve, and I want to tell everyone just how special You are! You are greater than anyone could imagine, Your compassion and mercy fills the universe. How I love You!

You have called me to be Your disciple and speak what You have done for me. I want more than anything to proclaim You to my friends and neighbors. Please give me the words, but more than that, please give me Your courage and discernment to know when to speak.
Amen

Isaiah 12:2

See, God has come to save me. I will trust in Him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; He has given me victory.
Isaiah 12:2

Good Morning My King,
You are my strong tower and refuge. I come to You each morning and You teach me Your ways. You walk with me through the day and when night comes, You are watching over me as I sleep. What more can I say, but that You are awesome!

You have come to save me, from my sins and willful ways. You, Jesus, are my salvation and strength.

I am coming to know You more each day and with knowing, I can learn to trust. So many times during the days I hear You say, ‘trust’. I don’t want to be afraid, I realize I have a choice to make when fear knocks at my heart. Today when it comes, I will shout trust and know You are there.

You are my strength, Father. You give my heart a reason to beat and give me a song to sing. In all I do, remind me please, that I already have the victory because of You. Help me to live that victory!
Amen

Psalm 107:2

Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others He has redeemed you from your enemies.
Psalm 107:2

Good Morning Yahweh,
I praise You for the morning light. I love the way You wake Your world and bring new joy to the day. You are such a mighty, yet gentle God and I love You from the depths of my heart!

I know, Father, that You have redeemed me. You have claimed my life and I cling to You. Yet, I’m not always ready to speak out and tell others. There are times it’s hard to speak about You and so I just say nothing. Please forgive me. I know my actions speak volumes, but it needs to be combined with Your words in my mouth.

Most of my enemies are my own thoughts. I often feel insignificant and know all my sins. Even when I have asked for Your forgiveness, and I know I’ve been forgiven, I haven’t the ability to forget. I keep going over and over my failures.

Help me please, my LORD, to live like I’m redeemed. Continue to strength me to overcome my enemies with Your Word and give me Your courage to speak to others about how wonderful You are.

Thank You for being with me this morning. You are my Love!
Amen

John 1:5

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
John 1:5

Morning My LORD,
I love You so much, Jesus. You are so wonderful to me. Your faithfulness is never ending and Your love surrounds me all day long.

I’m a little restless this morning, Father. I don’t know quite what to do.  It seems my crazy days have slowed down and I’m at a loss of direction that I should take.

I thank You for the rest from my busyness and that I can come to You and spend some extra time in Your Word. Help me to enjoy this slower day and the blessings it will bring.

I am also grateful that on these directionless days, Your light will shine into my life giving me direction. Even in my most discouraging days, the darkness of the day will never be able to extinguish Your presence in my life. For that, LORD, I will sing of Your greatness all day long!
Amen

Psalm 23:6

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me.
Psalms 23:6

Morning Jesus!
You are becoming so important to the start of my day. When I don’t want to get out of bed, You are the reason I will rise early, just to spend some peaceful time with You.

When I think I have so much to accomplish this day, it’s You who helps me to slow down and see just what is the most important. You are my amazing guide in life!

Your goodness is beyond what my mind can comprehend. Out of the goodness of Your heart, You have given me so much. I am blessed more than I deserve.

Your love is never ending and so big, I’m convinced that I can only touch the outer edges, if I were able to go farther into Your love, I would be crushed by the immensity of it.

What is so humbling to me, is the fact that You following me around everyday, pouring Your goodness into my life and love into my heart. You, the Creator of the Universe, pursue me! That is a blessing beyond words.

Jesus, please be with me today, show me how to let Your goodness and love flow through me to others that I work with, my family and my friends. Help me to show them just how amazing You are!
Amen

Ezekiel 3:10

Then he added, “Son of man, let all My words sink deep into your own heart first. Listen to them carefully for yourself.
Ezekiel 3:10

Good Morning Jesus!
How are You this morning? I know You are grand and wonderful and my Living Word! Such a blessing I can’t fully understand, but I sure can stand in Your love and dance with delight!

Reading in Ezekiel is a ‘WOW’ book, LORD. Much of it I don’t completely understand, but when You want me to take notice of a verse, You do it in grand style. I know Ezekiel one of Your prophets who lived in a tough time of Israel’s history. It must have been so hard for him and You, to see Your people sliding farther and farther from Your presence. I don’t see how they didn’t see their present state and repent, but then You remind me I’m not so different.

I can’t always see my present state, I’m always in better shape than I want to acknowledge. I like to kid myself. I can’t kid You though. For that I’m grateful and thank You for always calling me to Your side.

This morning You’re calling me to Your side by letting all Your words sink deep into my heart, listening to them carefully, every morning, before I begin the day. I so want to do this, Jesus. I want to commit this time everyday to You. I’m weak and easily distracted. Please help me with this, I need You more than my life can understand. Show me Your gem every morning so I can let Your Word sink deep into my heart!

I love You, Jesus. Have I told You that lately?
Amen

Matthew 5:16

In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
Matthew 5:16

Good Morning LORD!
I stand in Your glory this morning, Father, as we watch the sunrise together. The beauty and strength, yet the gentleness of the sunrise brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. You are my God and You alone will I praise today.

Father, I want to shine Your wonderful love and Words today through my life. I want to proclaim Your presence in my heart so others will want to come and make their homes with You. I want to live to bring glory and honor to You, everyday of my life!
Amen
