1 Thessalonians 2:4

For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.
1 Thessalonians 2:4

Good Morning My Love,
Thank You so very much for my night’s rest. You always know just how much sleep I need to be of service for You each day. Even when I don’t think it’s much, You always come through.
Your Word this morning made me stop and think. You have approved me to be a messenger for You! Even thought I don’t consider myself worthy, You have given me consideration, examined my heart, and approved me as Your Voice! It boggles my mind!
It is Your pleasure for me to tell people about the Good News of Your Son. How much He loves us, how He died for us, and most important, how He lives for us!
But, I confess, LORD, that I don’t always want to do the speaking, and many times I don’t. Please forgive me, I am so faithless to Your faithfulness.
Help me to remember today, Father, that my most important purpose in this life is to please You. I want You to smile upon me and that my life will give You the glory! I love You, LORD!
Amen

2 Timothy 1:13-14

Hold on to the pattern of wholesome teaching you learned from me—a pattern shaped by the faith and love that you have in Christ Jesus. Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you.
2 Timothy 1:13-14

Good Morning Jesus,

Thank You so very much for the rest last night. I didn’t realize that I was that tired. It’s good to be refreshed.

It’s also very good to be refreshed in Your Spirit and love. Every morning Your grace and mercy is new, You have wiped away my mistakes from yesterday, and I have a fresh start. I thank You, but I want to do better today, to follow Your decrees and glorify You in all I do.

I praise You for the reminder that I need to hold on to the teachings You have already given me. What I have learned I want to protect and guard. I don’t want to follow a wrong path, follow any other gods or to hurt You. You have shown me Your love, and just how faithful You are. You have poured Your Spirit into me, so I will know what You’re teaching me. You have covered all the bases, so I can live a life for You.

Help me please, Spirit, to hold You close to my heart, and the truth that only You can reveal to me. You are precious and I love You more than my words can say!

Amen

James 1:6

But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.
James 1:6

Morning Jesus,
I am so glad you are my Rock and Foundation. I can trust You and know that You are my God. I love you, LORD.

This morning I feel like everything in my life is shifting, I feel saddened and not sure where I’m supposed to go. Things have changed so fast and they haven’t gone in the direction that I thought they would have.

During this time of transition, LORD, I will keep my eyes focused on You. Your path is the one that I want to follow, and I know You have the perfect plan for me. Why do I fret? Why do I wish things would turn out differently? I am a wave in the sea today, Jesus. Tossed this way and that with my feelings. Remind me my feelings are not always trustworthy, but You are. Give me peace today, Your peace, to know You are there. Thank you for Your encouragement as I continue on. I praise You for being my Savior and my heart!

Be still my soul and rest in Jesus.
Amen

Psalm 16:11

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your presence and the pleasures of living with You forever.
Psalm 16:11

Good Morning Jesus,

I thank You so very much for the rest You blessed me with last night. You always know just what I need and provide it at the perfect time. I know that even if I hadn’t rested well, it would be enough to glorify You throughout the day.

You have blessed me with such joy in guiding my every moment of each day. You shine Your light on the best path for me to take, You give me Your wisdom and knowledge for each situation that arises before me and I not only know that I will have the pleasure of living with You in eternity, I have the joy of living for You right now!

I am so blessed and I love You!

Amen

Proverbs 26:23

Smooth words may hide a wicked heart, just as a pretty glaze covers a clay pot.
Proverbs 26:23

Good Morning Father,

Thank You so much for the night’s rest. Thank You for greeting me with Your presence and love. Without You, my life would be so useless.

Father, please search my heart for anything that is unworthy of You. I don’t want to have a wicked heart, but I know my motives are not always thinking of Your glory. Please forgive me. Show me where I need to think differently, so I can please You.

Help me to remember also, that I am just that clay pot Your Word is talking about this  morning. No matter what I may look like on the outside, it’s the inside that You see. And this clay pot comes with cracks and holes that only You can repair.

I am so thankful that You are my God and Savior. You give me correction when I need it and encouragement to go on. My very being depends on You!

Amen

John 11:40

Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”
John 11:40

Morning Jesus,
I thank You for being with me this morning, Your steady and faithful love is going to sustain me today and all the days ahead. The blessing of Your presence in my life is the most wonderful part of living for You!

There are days, LORD, that I feel like the rug has been pulled out from under my feet. Things change faster than I can process. I don’t always know which way to turn.

I praise You, Jesus, for You are the path I need to stay on when things go astray. You will light my way, give me stability and a reason to keep on going. You are always encouraging me and reminding me to ‘believe’. I want to believe in You, LORD, help me when I falter. Strengthen my courage and trust in You. Help me today to soar on Your wings and enjoy You!
Amen

Deuteronomy 31:12

Call them all together—men, women, children, and the foreigners living in your towns—so they may hear this Book of Instruction and learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully obey all the terms of these instructions.
Deuteronomy 31:12

Good Morning My LORD,

You are my amazing and wonderful God. I’m beginning to see You in different areas of my life as You open my heart to Your glories. I am so blessed to be Your child and I love You so very much!

I know You are always calling me to Your Word. Not only to hear it but to place it in my life and live the Word.

You are also calling others, those who may not know You, to come and hear about Your love. Yet, how they can come when they don’t know You?

You want me to tell others about Your amazing love, don’t You Father. You desire for me to be Your voice in my part of this world.

I have to confess that it scares me, LORD. What if I mess up? What will people think of me?

Please forgive me, it’s not about me, it’s all about You. I need to trust You will give me the words to speak at the perfect time.

Your Word says, You will send Your Word out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all You want it to, and it will prosper everywhere You send it. I claim this promise, to help me to tell those around me about Your amazing Word.

Amen

Psalm 135:13

Your name, O Lord, endures forever; Your fame, O Lord, is known to every generation.
Psalm 135:13

Good Morning Abba,

You are so amazing and take such good care of me. I thank You for revealing Yourself to me, for guiding and teaching me every moment of the day.

Your Name has endured for so many centuries. Even those who do not know You, have heard of Your Name.

The mighty works of Your hands are known to each generation. Your fame has endured.

You have reminded me this morning, the reason Your Name has endured is because Your children have talked about You, what You have done in their lives, how You have loved them in spite of their failings. People have sat around the campfires telling their children Your story. They have talked about Your ways around the dinner table. People have shared You through their lives and family, so they will remember what You have done.

Please help me, Abba, to share You with others like those before me have. It’s now my privilege and responsibility to do the talking and loving. You know I’m kind of uncomfortable with this, but because I love You so very much, I want to overcome my reluctance. I know with You, Spirit, all things are possible. So today I will lean into You and let You be my strength and courage!

I love You!

Amen

Ecclesiastes 3:11

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end
Ecclesiastes 3:11

Good Morning Father,
What beauty You have shown me this morning. From the rising of the sun, to the birds singing their joy. You surround me with Your nature to always remind me You are no more that a breath away.
Your Word this morning, Father, reminds me that I will not always see the end of the work You have begun. I live in such a small space of the world, I cannot even begin to see what You are doing on the other side of the world. Even if I could see it, I probably wouldn’t understand the whys. So help me to trust You, to know that You have seen the beginning and end, You are the creator of all time, and You are beautiful. I know You will complete the work You have started in me and I will take joy in knowing You more each moment!
Amen

Philippians 4:4

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!
Philippians 4:4

Morning Jesus,

What joy You place in my heart LORD, to be in Your presence and love You. I know Jesus, that joy isn’t always happiness and laughter. Joy is the complete peace of knowing You are my God and I am your child. Joy is the bubble in my heart that won’t go away in spite of my circumstances. Joy is knowing that I am loved by the Great I AM.

Today, Jesus, I want to bring joy to Your heart. I want to do what You have created me to do. I want to shine Your love to everyone. I want to soar on Your wings and enjoy being close to You.

I love You so much Jesus, You are my sweetheart!
Amen
