Psalm 18:16

He reached down from heaven and rescued me; He drew me out of deep waters.
Psalm 18:16

Good Morning Yahweh,
The morning is crisp as the day dawns. My list seems to be getting longer instead of shorter. My body is getting tired. But, right now, Father, I’m with You and I will be refreshed and renewed by Your Spirit. How precious this time is for me, to spend these moments with my Creator and King. I praise You for the Hope of this day.

I feel like the Psalmist this morning Father. I feel like the waters of the season are drawing me down. It seems like I still have so much to accomplish before tomorrow, I’m getting discourage and don’t feel like I will complete it all. I don’t want to disappoint my family and friends by not getting done the things I wanted to do for them.

Your Word; how grateful I am that You have placed it before me today. To know that You will take care of the needs and demands of this day, LORD. Your Word gives me strength to continue. I will need You to help me to know what I need to do and let all the rest go. Please help me to organize my day around Your presence.

What I want desperately to remember today, Father, is that this season is for You, not all the other stuff we do. Help me to not disappoint You above anyone else. I want to put a smile on Your face today!
Amen

John 13:34-35

So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that You are my disciples.”
John 13:34-35

Good Morning Jesus,
How fresh the air is this morning, how beautiful the colors of the sky, and how wonderful to sit in Your love and just be.

You tell me, Jesus, that You want me to love everyone I meet. That’s kind of hard sometimes. With the season of stress building, even people in the grocery stores are short of patience. No one wants to be kind or generous, everyone just wants to get done what they have to do and go to the next project. When people bite my head off for just being the right person at the right time, it’s hard to love them.

However, that’s just what You are asking me to do, especially when others are grumpy and short. What better time to be loving people as we celebrate Your birth!

What caught my attention this morning, Jesus, is that You said my love for others will prove that I am Your disciple. I’ve never really thought about loving as proof of Your presence. In a world that wants concrete facts about everything, what better action to do than to love those who are grumpy and short with me! I want to prove to the world You live, that You are real and alive. I can’t do it alone, LORD. When someone is edgy with me today, help me draw on Your enormous pool of love and prove to them that You are LORD of my life!
I love You!
Amen

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:8

Good morning my Jesus,
Thank You for just being You! When I stop to think of all You have done for me and then everything You do for everyone else, my mind just doesn’t have the ability to understand how great You are.
You have given me the rest I needed. Yesterday was a very busy one, LORD. You know I hardly sat down. There was just so much to finish up with You birthday day so close. Yet, even in my business, You kept me close to Your heart. I knew You were always there.
Today has the possibility to be much slower. There are still things to finish up, but I think the stress stuff is all done. I know You will be with me throughout my work.
Then there’s tomorrow. The day before Your day. There will be many things going on, preparation for Christmas Eve, fixings for dinners, wrapping up the last presents. Your Word this morning reminds me that You will be there, the same as You were yesterday, today, and all the tomorrows. Do You know how reassuring those words are? I’m sure You do or You wouldn’t have said them! I love You, Jesus, You are my forever!
Amen

John 10:30

The Father and I are one.
John 10:30

Good Morning My Jesus,
You are the goodness of my life and I do enjoy these mornings when I take some time to be with You. Just being with You gives me hope for the future and strength for the day. You are my LORD and I want to proclaim You to anyone who will listen!

My human mind, Jesus, just can’t fully understand this scripture. I know we have termed Your presence as the Trinity, that seems to be the only way we can even partly understand. The question always arises that when You were here on earth, who was tending the Universe? Even though I know in my heart, You and the Father are one, along with the Spirit, my mind tries to configure You with individual bodies. Please forgive me for limiting my understanding of You.

I am so glad I don’t have to totally understand how You work, my duty is to believe. And I do believe and know and claim that my Father, my Jesus and the Spirit are all one!
Amen

Isaiah 40:9-11

O Zion, messenger of good news, shout from the mountaintops! Shout it louder, O Jerusalem. Shout, and do not be afraid. Tell the towns of Judah,“Your God is coming!” Yes, the Sovereign Lord is coming in power. He will rule with a powerful arm. See, He brings His reward with Him as He comes. He will feed His flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in His arms, holding them close to His heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.
Isaiah 40:9-11

Good Morning Jesus,
You have come! I can just imagine how the prophets of Isaiah wanted everyone to realize that You were coming. How they must have looked forward to Your arrival.

Yet, it was many years before You did come. And how many years was it before I saw You coming to me? I praise You Jesus for pursuing and loving me. I thank You for opening my eyes to Your coming.

As the days move forward, it’s time to be preparing for a renewal time with You. I want to celebrate the day of Your birth with spiritual eyes, Jesus. I want to anticipate the days and see what You will bring.

I am so appreciative that I live on this side of the cross, Jesus. To know Your love and hope gives my life a purpose. I look forward to this day, to prepare for Your coming once more into my life.

How I love that You carry me close to Your heart, so I can hear the steady beat of life!
Amen

Luke 2:8-10

That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.
Luke 2:8-10

Good Morning Father!
What a glorious morning to be with You! The air is clean and fresh, the day holds new promises and I am with You. It is such an adventure to be Your child!

Your Word this morning is so great to think on.

To think that You told shepherds in the fields about Your Son, is so great. He would become the Shepherd for many, taking care of us so well.

When Your angels appear in Your Word, they are always so careful to say ‘don’t be afraid’. It must have been such a bright sight to see them in the dark sky. The shepherds must have really wondered about what was happening.

What I love the most about them, Father, is the fact that they believed, period. They didn’t try to analyze the situation, or try to make an intelligent discovery, they just believed and went to see Your Son.

I want to come to You that way, excited and anticipating the day with You. To let You lead me on exciting discoveries. The, to sit with You tonight and talk about the day. Thank You for Your shepherds. Thank You for my Shepherd.
Amen

Psalm 46:10

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”
Psalm 46:10

Good Morning My Sweet LORD,
Your presence in my life is becoming so special and important. I am so thankful that You have called me to be Your child and that these moments have become a lifeline for me. I love You so much!

Jesus, it’s been crazy these past few weeks. I wanted so much to slow down and make Christmas a really special time for You, not only for my family and friends.

You know I haven’t been successful with my plan. I’ve been cramming activities into time when the time hasn’t been available. I’ve spent evenings trying to catch up with household needs instead of just being with You. I don’t feel I’ve made it a special time for You, and my family and friends have suffered also.

Even though there are only a few days left before we celebrate Your birth, LORD, I can start this morning to honor You. I want to call on You today to make wise choices. Remind me please, to pause through the day and tell You, I love You. Open my eyes that I may see Your glory in those around me. Hold me close, Jesus, I need to hear Your heart beat and know You are close.

Before the rush of the day begins, Jesus, I will sit here and just know that You are my God.
Amen

Psalm 147:4&5

He counts the stars and calls them all by name. How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!
Psalm 147:4 & 5

Good Morning Jesus!
Thank You for the morning light and greeting me with Your presence. Even before I get out of bed I’m looking forward to being with You. My time with You is so refreshing and wonderful!

Your Word reminds me this morning about all the stars I can see when I’m out at night. There are so many, it’s beautiful and amazing to realize that You have named them all! To understand that You care so much about Your creation humbles my heart, yet makes my soul dance. I am part of Your creation! You care about me and You have called me to be Your child. How grateful I am to be able to sit here this morning and talk with You. I love You so very much!

When I come up with situations today that I just can’t understand, remind me that You know what’s best and that’s all that is important. I want to lean into Your presence through the whole day. I want to hear You call me to Your side. I cherish You, my Jesus, You are the love of my life!
Amen

Colossians 2:7

Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:7

Good Morning Jesus,
This month, as I celebrate Your birth, I want to glorify You in absolutely everything I do.

From the moment I wake in the morning through all my daily activities, to the moment I lay my head down to rest, I want to proclaim You as my LORD and Savior. Thank You for the knowledge that You are the King of Kings and LORD of Lords.

I just love this scripture today, Jesus. Whenever I read it I’m reminded of standing on an ocean beach and wiggling my toes deep into the sand. It just feels good and I know if I had the strength I could wiggle them to bedrock. When I got there I would be able to go no farther, that would be my foundation.

It’s like that with You, I can wiggle my thoughts deep into Your Words, they can pour over me and most of the time will feel good. I know there are times the Words are sharp and uncomfortable, but at the bottom is the bedrock, You. My foundation in this life can only be built on You and You will stand forever. All in this world will someday be gone, but You will remain! What peace and comfort that brings me.

I thank You so very much for this understanding of Your Word. You have blessed me with Your knowledge and I wish today to spend some extra time reading and studying with You. I want Your Word to surround me, as the sand surrounds my toes in the sand!

I love You!
Amen

1 Peter 4:10

God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.
1 Peter 4:10

Good Morning Jesus!
I am getting so excited for Christmas morning. It’s always so fun to open gifts, even if they are the ones I’ve given myself. To think that You will be right there beside me will make the morning even more special!

As I’ve been getting ready for Christmas, buying gifts, wrapping them and thinking about the person they are going to, You have reminded me that You have given me a gift also. My most precious gift from You is Your love and the knowledge that You are God and died for me. My gift of Your presence is priceless and I will praise You forever.

Your Word this morning reminds me that You have given me another gift, maybe more than one, that I may share with others. Have I even opened that gift, LORD? Have I taken the time to even understand that You have gifted me with something so special, only I can use it as You desire?

I know it can be a struggle to find my spiritual gift, it can be an adventure, it can take more than just this Christmas morning to see the full potential of my gift. Help me this day, Jesus, to sit with You, maybe I even need to start by asking for a clear vision of my gift, to be patient in the discovery, to have joy in the understanding.

As I take this adventure with You Jesus, I want to give You a gift this morning. I want to gift You my life, to live for You and to love with Your glory!
Amen
