But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for He called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light.

Good Morning Jesus,
Thank You so much for the beauty of this day. I realize that You have created it and I want to take the most joy in it as I can.

I ask this day that You will remind me that I have been chosen by You. I have been set apart to glorify You through my whole life. Help me to see that my life needs to be different from the ways of the world. I want my life to be a light on a hill, to shine for You.

As the light begins to shine outside, Jesus, I desire for Your light to shine in me. You have called me out of darkness, I am beginning to understand what You are asking of me, so please give me Your love and I’ll hold on tight to You today!

Good Morning Abba!
You are so special and I am so blessed to be Your child. Your presence surrounds me every moment of my day and I take joy in Your love.

I praise You this morning, Father, for the fact that You do know where I’m going. You encourage me along. When I stray from Your path, You guide me back. I want to follow Your ways and keep my focus on You.

Whatever the day may hold, I will trust in You, my LORD, knowing You have the best plan for my life. It’s a joy and adventure to always see where You will lead me next!

Morning My Jesus,
It is just good to be here with You this morning. Even when I sleep late, You are waiting for me to wake. When I’m up before dawn, You are right there showing me the way. How wonderful You are.

As I go about my day today, LORD, I want to praise You with everything I do. You are my Savior, my Risen LORD and the love of my life. I am so aware that each day you hold me close to Your heart and teach me how to love others. You give me comfort so I can comfort others. I want to live my life through You and glorify Your Name on high.

But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.

Good Morning Jesus!
What a delight to wake with You first on my thoughts this morning. It seems to make the day move so much smoother when I think of You first instead of my duties. You always know what is best for me and I love You!

Your Word this morning is such a good reminder for me. I need to be here with You, every morning, reading and thinking on what You are telling me. I need to stand firm on Your scripture, but if I don’t know them, how can I say firm? I just can’t.

I never want to drift from You, my Love. Life is so good when I stay right beside You, under the protection of Your arm and near the sound of Your heart beat.

But, what I realized this morning in reading Colossians, is that You have appointed me to proclaim Your Word, just as Paul did. I know I don’t have the ability to ‘preach’ as Paul did, but You have given me Your Spirit, to love and talk about just how wonderful You are and how great Your love is. Help me to speak with ease about You today and love those I come in contact with. Please remind me that I have You to do all the hard work in talking about Your Good News, I just have to follow Your leading.

O Lord, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you.

Good Morning My LORD,
Have I told You yet today just how much I love You? I do, You are the very reason I live, the reason I get up every morning, and the reason for the joy in my heart.

I’m not sure what to pray for this morning, LORD. There seems to be so much happening in my life and I don’t know which way to turn. I praise You for giving me Your Spirit, who groans for my heart when I don’t know how or what to pray.

It seems there are so many with illnesses and challenges in their lives right now, Father. I ask that You would be with them, give them Your hope and peace. I don’t know what You have in plan for them, but I know You have them in Your hands.

I also know, Father, that You are the only One that can take care of these things. There is no other that I pray to, there is no other that I will trust their care to.

You are my King and God and I will bow to no other but You!

How will anyone know that You look favorably on me—on me and on Your people—if You don’t go with us? For Your presence among us sets Your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”
Exodus 33:16

Good Morning Yahweh!
What an absolutely beautiful morning to spend some time with You. I pray that I will continue to have this hunger and thirst for Your presence. You have turned my life around and upside down and I’m so joyful. Each morning I awake eager to see where we will be going.

Your scripture this morning, Father, is so important to me. How would I even begin to go about my day if You are not with me? I wouldn’t be able to cope with all the decisions and choices. I know what sets me apart is the fact that You are my constant Companion and Guide. Your presence gives me courage to live for You. I never want to leave my house without You.

So as Moses asked, I too will ask, please go with me today and look favorably on me. Set me apart for Your glory. I love You so much!

Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the Lord heard everything they said. Then the Lord’s anger blazed against them, and He sent a fire to rage among them, and He destroyed some of the people in the outskirts of the camp.
Numbers11:1

Good Morning My LORD,
You are so awesome to love me as You do. You are so wonderful to never give up on me, Your encouragement is my lifeline and I live for You!

Father, there are so many times I complain about what I have to do and what I’m going through. Life seems unfair at times, things don’t work out the way I feel they should and I whine. I get so focused on me, I forget about You.

Please forgive me, my Love. I don’t want to act that way. I want to take joy in my circumstances. I want to have peace to live my life, knowing that it’s for Your glory, not my comfort.

Please help me to realize that when I complain about things that are beyond my control, I’m really complaining about You. I’m making a statement that says I don’t think You know what is best or know just how much I can deal with. How horribly arrogant of me and again, I seek Your forgiveness.

Father, as the day unfolds, remind me often that You are my God and I am not. You, who created me and formed my spirit, knows what is good and perfect for me. Help me please to see beyond myself and to see Your plan. Please give me Your strength and courage to carry me through the day.

And when I head to bed, remind me to thank You for taking the best of care of me this day. I do love You so.

Good Morning Abba,
What a delight to be in Your presence this morning! Your faithfulness is never ending and Your love is without end. How amazing You are!

Your Word, it is wonderful the way You tell me things, just to me, at the right time. I know it’s for everyone, You want everyone to know Your Word. But, this morning I know You wrote this just for me.

In one sentence, You state all that You are the Messiah, the Great I AM, and the wonderful Spirit. What more could I want or need?

Thank You for being my all in all. Thank You for being the reason I move and live and exist. Thank You for loving me.

I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know Me more than I want burnt offerings.
Hosea 6:6

Good Morning Yahweh,
What a wonderful God You are. You watch over me at night, and wake me with the morning light. You provide everything I need, so much more that what I deserve. Help me always to lean into Your Spirit and rely totally on You. Help me please, to see You in all I do today.

Abba, You want me to really know You. More than anything, that is Your heart’s desire.

The word ‘know’ has really spoken to me this morning. I ‘know’ a lot. But I think it’s more than what I think. When I’ve looked it up, it says this:   

1. be aware of through observation, inquiry, or information.

synonyms: have knowledge of, be informed of, be apprised of;

be absolutely certain or sure about something.

2. have developed a relationship with (someone) through meeting and spending time with them; be familiar or friendly with, be acquainted with, have met, be familiar with.

I was amazed to realize it’s a verb. That means action. I need to take action in order to know You more. I need to be in Your Word to know You. I need to be in prayer so You can explain Your mysteries to me.

Help me today, Father, to start this adventure of coming to know You more. Give me the strength and courage to not give up. Thank You for not giving up on me.
