Ezra 3:3

Even though the people were afraid of the local residents, they rebuilt the altar at its old site. Then they began to sacrifice burnt offerings on the altar to the Lord each morning and evening.
Ezra 3:3

Good Morning Jesus,
I was so tired last night and You provided such wonderful rest for me. Thank You my King!

There are things I know You are asking me to do, Jesus, that really scare me. I’m not sure why I get so scared, maybe because it’s different or the change. I don’t like being that way, I want to follow Your calling with boldness and joy.

What encouragement You have blessed me with this morning. To see that Your children from so long ago, experienced the same fear I do today. They were afraid, but they still did what You had called them to, they rebuilt the alter. They rebuilt it and then they began to use it, sacrificing to You morning and night.

So today, whatever unfolds before me, I will hold Your hand and not be afraid, because I know You will be with me. I will take whatever step You are asking, not because I will be fearless, but because I know You’re with me. I want to please You by obeying Your call on my life. I want to shine Your light and love into this world so others will come to know You. I love You Jesus!
Amen

2 Chronicles 34:3

During the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, Josiah began to seek the God of his ancestor David. Then in the twelfth year he began to purify Judah and Jerusalem, destroying all the pagan shrines, the Asherah poles, and the carved idols and cast images. 2 Chronicles 34:3

Good Morning Yahweh,
Your timing is so completely perfect and wonderful. You know when I need encouragement and Your Word gives it. You know all my needs for this day and have already provided for them. How great You are.

Your Word this morning, Father, reminds me that walking with You is a lifetime education. As Josiah did, I need to sit at Your feet and learn from You. I need to be in Your Word as often as possible since I don’t have the capacity to remember. You tell me the same story over so I can learn and understand.

Josiah sat for Your teachings, and then You moved Him to action. It wasn’t done in a day or a week, it took time. I’m not always willing to work so slowly and then again, it seems like sometimes I’m not willing to work that fast.

So, Abba, I need Your Spirit to guide me. I want You to teach me, as I can’t do this or understand it on my own. Most importantly, I need You to move me into action at Your perfect timing.

I ask this, Father, so I may glorify You, that I may be the vessel You shape and mold to please You. I am so humbled and honored to be Your child!

I love You!
Amen

Acts 20:24

But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
Acts 20:24

Good Morning My LORD!
What a beautiful morning! Your faithfulness is always a joy to me. The way you wake me with the birds singing, the warmth of the sun and the blue of the sky. I never want to take You for granted or not see the wonder of Your creation.

There are times, Jesus, that I’m just not sure what I’m supposed to be doing. I know that where You have me right now is where I’m supposed to be, but shouldn’t there be more? At times my grandeur gets in the way, I see myself doing great and awesome things for this world. I imagine I might be extra special or amazing.

Then I look at my life and see what I think is the reality of it and become discouraged.

How grateful I am for Your Word this morning. It reminds me that I do have an extra special duty. I can make a difference in my world.

However, I have to get my eyes off me and look into Your beautiful eyes. When I do, I realize that my work assigned to me by You is to tell others about Your work in my life. To tell them the Good News of Your grace and mercy. To show love with Your love, so others can come into Your presence.

Whatever my work may be, my priority is to proclaim You to my world. Thank You Jesus, for being so patient with me, teaching and guiding me always.

I love You!
Amen

Psalm 4:8

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.
Psalm 4:8

Good Morning Father,
I just want to thank You for the wonderful rest You blessed me with last night. You always know just what I need and provide it at Your perfect time.

I can lie down at night, knowing that You are watching over me and keeping me secure.

I know I am always safe in Your arms, for You have nothing but the very best in store for me.

As I go through this day, Father, remind me that You are with me. Please give me Your strength and wisdom and courage to make choices that will glorify You. I know You will not only keep me safe when I sleep but also as I go through my day.
Amen

Romans 15:2

We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.
Romans 15:2

Good Morning My Jesus,
What a beautiful day! It is the one You created and I want to take joy in it and be wowed!

Jesus, I thank You for all the people You have placed in my life. My family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. They are all precious in Your sight and should be in mine.

But, they are not always precious in my sight and for that I beg Your forgiveness. I can be so selfish at times, it makes my heart sad. I need You, Spirit, I need Your strength to love them as You do.

Please give me Your words today, to encourage and lift them up. Please help my actions to proclaim Your love, so they will want to be with You.

Help me to remember, Jesus, my life is not all about me. It’s about bringing You glory and being the conduit for Your love in this world.

Thank You, Jesus, so very much for being my LORD.
Amen

Psalm 9:1-2

I will praise You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. I will be filled with joy because of You. I will sing praises to Your Name, O Most High.
Psalm 9:1-2

Good Morning Jesus!
Yes, I will praise You, with all my heart; You have come to me and blessed my life with such joy!

I will tell of all the wonderfully, marvelous things You have done in my life; I want to list all the blessings I’ve received, the first and most important is You, Spirit, living within me, opening my heart and mind to see the wonders of Your love!

I am filled with joy and it’s only because of You; You fill my every moment with adventure, You have given me my life’s purpose.

I will sing all day long, my Jesus, just because You are You. In You is all life and hope and joy. What more could I ever need?

I love You so very much!
Amen

2 Chronicles 31:21

In all that he did in the service of the Temple of God and in his efforts to follow God’s laws and commands, Hezekiah sought his God wholeheartedly. As a result, he was very successful.
2 Chronicles 31:21

Good Morning Jesus!

Thank You for getting me out of bed this morning. When I woke, You were right there, calling me to You. I know the rest I received last night will be more than enough for me to glorify You though the day. You are so perfect and I adore You so very much!

As King Hezekiah did in his day, I want to do in my life. I want to wholeheartedly seek You in all I do. I want to surround my life with Your presence so no matter where I look, I will see You.

You blessed Hezekiah with success. I want to seek You and know You so I can glorify You in my work and play. Through my actions and words, I want others to know how wonderful You are, so they too will seek Your presence.

Is there a possibility that I could ever love You too much? I don’t think so, even though I feel I may burst with Your love today!

Amen

Ester 8:8

Now go ahead and send a message to the Jews in the king’s name, telling them whatever you want, and seal it with the king’s signet ring. But remember that whatever has already been written in the king’s name and sealed with his signet ring can never be revoked.
Esther 8:8

Good Morning My Wonderful Father,
How gracious You are. You have forgiven me of all my sins and adopted me into Your family. I am Your child and I adore You!

What I came across this morning in Your Word, Father, tells me again just how faithful You are. You are the same yesterday, today, and all the tomorrows. It is so good to know I can stand on the foundation of Your Word and it will never, ever change.

As I read this verse, I was amazed at Your wording: But remember that whatever has already been written in the king’s name and sealed with his signet ring can never be revoked. I know this is the story of Queen Esther and how she was placed as Queen so she could ‘save’ her people. But I also understood that this is about You and what has been written in Your name and sealed with Your Spirit, can never be revoked. Your Word is the truth and it cannot be changed. Do You know how secure I feel in You? In this world of half truths, You are the refreshment of full truth and pure love.

Help me to remember this morning, LORD, that I have been sealed with Your Spirit, my name is in Your Book of Life. I have the freedom to proclaim Your truth to the world. I am Your child!
Amen

Job 19:25

“But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and He will stand upon the earth at last. Job 19:25

Good Morning My LORD,

I love this time of the day, when I can be with You and think about how wonderful You are. I look at Your creation and see such beauty, yet, I know You are even more beautiful than all this. I see the power of the wind, yet, I know You are so much more powerful. I’ve experienced a baby’s hand clutching gently to my finger, yet, I know You are more gentle as You pull me closer to You each day. You are my mighty God!

I know that You live. I also know that You have chosen me to dwell in. You give my life purpose and excitement and challenges. How dull life must be without living in Your presence. Each day is new and whatever happens I know You are in the midst of my day.

I am so humbled and honored to be with You my LORD, help me please to never forget You are the Creator and Sustainer of this Universe and my life. I will seek You in every moment of this day!

Amen

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:10

Good Morning My Love,
Again this morning it is so wonderful to be with You. I love the way You talk to me through Your Word. I’m amazed at the way You, Spirit, help me understand. All this so I can be closer to my Creator. I love You!

When I look at myself in the mirror, LORD, I don’t see a masterpiece. I see my body sagging and the age creeping up. I see all my faults, both outside and inside. I know my attitudes and I don’t always like them.

Yet, Your Word this morning doesn’t suggest, but tells me I am Your masterpiece. You created me and love me. I want to claim that today, I am Your Masterpiece, Your fingerprints are all over me. You have blessed me with a new Spirit in Jesus and I need to remember that!

You haven’t given me all these things, Jesus, just to make me better. You have blessed me so I can be a blessing to others and tell them about You. I am not only Your Masterpiece, I am Your example in my corner of the world. Help me today to be worthy and shine for You!
Amen
