After this interview the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was.

Good Morning Jesus,
My heart this morning is so full of Your presence and I woke with You as my first thought. I look forward to what You will say to me each day and again You blessed me with this scripture.

As You guided the Israelites after the exodus with a cloud of smoke during the day and a pillar of fire at night, You also directed the wise men with the star. You gave them a sign and they followed. You were very direct in showing them the way.

I know, Jesus, that You show me the way so many times. You nudge me back when I stray, Your light shines where I am to go and yet, there are times I am still so blind. I either don’t notice or don’t care.

Please forgive me, Jesus. Help me to use my spiritual eyes and not only see where You are leading me, but also the courage and strength to follow. Like Your people of old, they didn’t need to know where they were going, they just knew You were leading them. They were okay with all the unknowns and what ifs. I want to be like them, to obey Your leading with joy and excitement.

I thank You my Jesus, for being so gentle and patient with me. I love You!

Good Morning Spirit!
You are so gracious to me and I love You! You are my teacher and guide, You are my constant companion and I could not live this life without You. I will praise You with all my life!

Sometimes, Spirit, it’s hard for me to love myself. I know all my downfalls, my failures and I’m not very pleased with myself. I also know You tell me to love myself as I love others. It’s so easy to love others, even with their downfalls, but not so easy for me.

When I saw Your Word this morning and realized I do love Your sanctuary, because it’s the place where Your glorious presence dwells, it made it easier to love love myself! You live in me, not beside or before or behind, but in me. And if I love You, and where You live, then I have to love me!

Thank You my LORD, for showing me Your Word, giving me Your love and hope. I will proclaim Your glory to everyone I meet today!

What a grand day you have created! You are the morning Son that wakes me and You will be the soft light that will surround me this evening. You are my Alpha and Omega, my Beginning and End.

Many churches will start Vacation Bible School soon and they will be learning that You are God and want to be their Beginning and Ending. I ask, Jesus, that You will be with all the children as they come into Your sanctuary. Please help them to feel Your presence and to come to know You in a special way.

I ask also that You will be with the staff and volunteers. They have a great and joyous job ahead of them. Please give them an extra measure of strength and enthusiasm for all the VBS in the weeks to come. Surround them with Your presence so the love they have for You will flow out into the children.

Please be with the families. Open their hearts to what their children will be learning this week. Plant the seed in their lives so it may grow into a faith that will sustain them through this life.

I know, Jesus, that You are about to do great things and it is with joy that I have the opportunity to witness Your glory and love!

Good Morning Jesus,
How blessed I am, the rest You gave me with last night was wonderful and I’m ready to face the day with You. Thank You for protecting me, thank You for Your continued care of me today.

Jesus, I need You to help me to learn to live wisely in this world. I know Your wisdom doesn’t always look like man’s wisdom. I also know that I need You, Spirit, to live as You designed me to live.

Help me to please to be gracious in all my conversations, give me the right responses to the situations I will come across today and help me to be the reflection of You, so others may come to know You.

I choose to follow You today Jesus, to bring You glory and to love You with my life!

Good Morning Jesus,
Thank You for the night’s rest You blessed me with. Thank You for the sun that is shining and the air I breathe. You have given me absolutely everything I need to enjoy this day!

Jesus, today I would like to think outside of myself. I love the way You have been preparing me, to send me out in Your love. I appreciate the teaching You have been giving me. To be in Your Word is so much a part of my life and I thank You for the gift of my Bible.

Today, I want to think of those that I meet. Please give me Your words to encourage them. Help me to know what their needs are and to know how to help them. Let me see the excitement in others eyes as they come to know You.

You are so special and I want to share that specialness with others!

Good Morning My Jesus,
It’s good to be with You this morning. Yesterday was kind of crazy but I knew You were always with me. There wasn’t much time to relax yet I was able to get through the day, knowing that I would be re-energized with You now.

Jesus, You are my treasure. I love to talk to You, read Your Word and listen to what You teach. You provide for all my needs and then some.

I do have to confess, Jesus, that sometimes I don’t think my heart is in the right place, it’s not always with You. I get busy, distracted or just plain forgetful and don’t give You a thought. Please forgive me and show me how I can keep You with me all during my day. My desire is to keep my heart in the treasure of Your presence and glorify You in all I do!

Good Morning My Savior!
As the sun is lighting the world, so You are lighting my life. It’s for You that I get up every morning. It’s for You that try to reach out and touch others with Your love. It’s for You that I live and move and exist. You are the joy of my heart!

I praise You Jesus, for all the children that are coming to You during Vacation Bible Schools this summer. You have blessed those involved with the opportunity to reach out and love them. You have blessed the teachers and helpers with Your Word, so the children will know You need to be the foundation of their lives. You are gifting the children with knowledge that will last them a lifetime. I will praise You for drawing so many to You this summer.

Spirit, please give light to those teaching and helping in VBS. Let Your light be theirs. Help them to trust in You these weeks, knowing that Your Word does not fall to the ground, never to be nurtured. But that it will be planted in these children’s hearts and You will grow it into a relationship with them.

I just love the way You work in all of us during VBS, each giving their gift to the children, all so You will be glorified.

Please help me to shine Your light into my corner of the world today!

Our children will also serve Him. Future generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord. His righteous acts will be told to those not yet born. They will hear about everything He has done.

Good Morning Jesus,
As I watch the world come awake, I praise You for the beauty You have created. To watch the birds fly and sing is so beautiful. To watch a bunny run here and there is just plain fun. Thank You for the blessings this morning.

Children from all over the country are heading to Vacation Bible School again today. It is such joy to see them learning to love and serve You. It’s so exciting to know they will be learning Your Word and the wonders of Your presence. And to know they will be hearing all about Your greatness, gives my heart peace.

Yet, Jesus, it breaks my heart that many of them have never heard about You. Their families are just looking for a place for them to go, out of their hair for a few hours. Many of the parents don’t know You.

In Your great plan, You have called these children to VBS to bless them and their families. You are about to pour Your love into them and when they go home, the families will see the change. It seems like such a short time, Jesus, to plant the seed. Yet, You always tell us, plant and then You will water and nurture and grow Your Word in each person. So I ask this day that You will be with each child, open their minds that they can understand and hearts to receive Your love. Please walk with these children in the days to come and reveal Yourself to them.

But Jesus said, “Let the children come to Me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” And He placed His hands on their heads and blessed them before He left.

Good Morning My Love!
I love You! You are my King, Savior, LORD, the Love of my life. What more can I say?

Jesus, I claim this promise of Your Word for the children that will be attending Vacation Bible Schools across our land this summer. I know our church has already started VBS, but, I also know many others will just be starting in the weeks to come. I ask that You will guide many children to Your side and You will bless them with Your presence.

As they come, please open the way so they can attend. Whatever obstacles are place before them, please remove them so You can welcome the children with open arms.

Those who already know You, Jesus, help them to continue to grow in their love for You.

Please whisper to each one how much You love them.

Most of all Jesus, I would ask that before they leave VBS this year, You will place Your hand on their lives and encourage them to start their life long adventure with You.
